Hey, what's up, everyone? October here. My acoustic guitarist is currently working on the tracks for another new standalone single that we're working on together, so we're super excited to release that. More details on that in a wee bit.
Anyway, I wanted to share some quick updates from my home studio in Vermont in regards to the COVID-19 guidelines that the CDC announced a while back and most recently: as you probably know, with all the news that's been coming out about Texas and several other Republican-governed states removing or lifting their COVID-19 restrictions, mask mandates and/or lockdown requirements (which is a stupid idea, in my opinion, if you want me to be honest about it), Vermont here is still following CDC's recommendations and the state's health department's guidelines as well, so we're doing pretty well thus far, and there will not be any removal or lifting of any mandates, lockdown/stay-at-home orders or mask mandates ending, and we're still on track to have the entire state vaccinated, as I'm one of the people in the next groups currently being vaccinated, so we should be fully in "herd immunity mode" for the entire state of Vermont only by May or June 2021, and slowly reopening, but we're still being cautious, and that still leaves a question mark in regards to live concert venues in Vermont being reopened or if it's still going to remain closed.
With that in mind, it's possible that we might not know any updates until mid to late Summer 2021 on whether or not live venues will reopen in Vermont, because I'd like to do a few socially distanced live shows with my guitarist and set up pods and have social distancing guidelines and mask requirements and vaccine verification proof for some of the local shows at some point, but if that doesn't happen this year, at least we'll have music video productions to look forward to, a few promotional videos, a bunch of behind-the-scenes vlog webisodes, a merch store full of awesome goodies to sell, a whole bunch of new music coming out this year with a bunch of standalone singles and at least one or two EPs coming out this year as well, and maybe the possibility of doing at least one or a few big live-streaming online shows until further notice this year also. We're still working out the kinks on that.
So now, back to what my guitarist and I are working on: as you probably are aware of right now, social media platforms all over has been posting updates about the newest standalone single, Sleeping Awake, which me and my social media team has been promoting relentlessly for the last 2 weeks now, and it's slated for a late May release, but my guitarist is also working on another standalone single with me called Letters from the Road and we're thinking of doing a release date of sometime in May as well. We're teasing it and testing things out to see when we should release it, so we'll let you know soon. We're going to have a very busy summer season of recording sessions and music video productions ahead of us releasing nothing but standalone singles, music videos, lyric videos, maybe a few animated videos and eventually get around to working on an EP. I'm also working on releasing another round of b-sides, rarities and old demos for the Wild Youthful Days of Basement Studio Demos, so this would be Part Two of the compilation album series. I'm pretty excited about that, because we have a bunch of extra stuff that I never released before in my 20+ year career, so stick around and learn more about my journey as a Deaf non-binary trans musician and also check out some unreleased versions of recent music releases that came out that will obviously land on the album series anyway, since it's coming out first on May 30th, 2021, then again on the album series later this year. You already know it as part of the Sleeping Awake single's "promotional mini-EP" package, so it'll still end up on the compilation album series again in late 2021/early 2022.
And there's some brand new merch that just recently launched late last night on the official website here, so come on over and check it out and buy yourselves some cool merch. And as per usual, don't forget to follow me on all social media platforms and thanks again for all your support and I look forward to seeing you again soon with more updates coming your way.
Sincerely and Eternally Grateful to Have You On This Journey,
